Q.
Why doesn't Dr. Pierre produce more variation of hair shampoos?
A. Conventional shampoos are just too easy to produce and are already
flooding the market in abundance. Dr. Pierre chose to create this
one and only mild STS pH3 Scalp Therapy Shampoo to address Sensitive
Scalps and render Luxuriant Hair.
Q.
Why are conventional shampoos available only between the range of
pH 5 and >6? Can't the manufacturers make them with lower
pH?
A. Conventional shampoos are made from standard formulations provided
free by raw materials suppliers whose interest is not in researching
and developing a wonder shampoo, but in facilitating shampoo manufacturers
with fast standard formulas. In the same token, most branded shampoo
manufacturers' interest is not in spending time and money in R+D to
produce a wonder shampoo, but in BRANDING, irrespective of whether
their products can deliver what was claimed. By the time the users
find out about their deceptive claims, they would have another new
twisted product name with a new storey to tell and BRAND, and the
cycle repeats. Dr. Pierre cares more on producing efficacious products
and not BRANDING, in order to produce this unique pH3 Scalp Therapy
Shampoo.

Why is pH3 so unique and special?
A. Shampoos, like all soaps and soap-based cleansers are surfactants.
Standard formulations need to add salt (which is alkaline) to the
surfactant mixture to increase its alkalinity in order to increase
its viscosity, otherwise the soap cleanser or shampoo mixture will
be water-thin liquid in texture. While achieving the desired increased
viscosity, the soap cleanser/shampoo inevitably also increases its
pH to the range of between 5 and >6, which is bad for our skin.
The ideal pH for our skin is 4.5 to 5.4. However, when these pH 5
to >6 shampoos/cleansers are lathered with water (which has a neutral
pH of 7), it yields a pH of between 6 (that is, (pH5+7)/2 ) and >6.5
(that is, (>pH6+7)/2 ). Using such shampoos/soap cleansers daily
and nightly would inevitably alter and increase the skin's pH level,
leading to unfavorable results, with a skin condition that's prone
to bacterial invasion. Again, it is the real passion of pioneering
efficacious products that motivates Dr. Pierre to break from the norm,
and to research and develop without adding salt, this unique pH3 Scalp
Therapy Shampoo, pH3 Body Wash and pH3 Feminine Hygiene.

Do Dr. Pierre Hair/Body Care products contain Fragrance and Alcohol?
A. Fragrance, Yes. Alcohol, absolutely NOT! Alcohol causes skin dehydration.
Thus, Dr. Pierre NEVER use it. However, since these products are meant
for hair and body wash and to be rinsed away without being left on
the skin, incorporating a little gentle fragrance does make the after-wash
effect more pleasant.
